The story goes based on the 12 chinese zodiac. 12 people each cursed with one of the animals of the Chinese Zodiac such that when they get hugged by someone of the opposite sex, they transform in the animal with which they are cursed. It goes with some funny and cute situations, involving friendship, loneliness.
Reply:From reading the manga series, which I loved, if you love anime from Japan you%26#039;ll really enjoy it. From thinking about in H.S. when I read all of the books which were completely out of the series I could tell shes a cutesy anime girl. She completely loved her friends and some guy she was always with. Thats about all I remember about the series, but i%26#039;ll be agreeing with the guy above me though! Wish I could help even more. Reply:well, from the previous answers, no doubt you alredy have a picture on what fruit basket is about, but when comparing the anime to the manga, i highly recommend you to read the manga, it is much much better and satisfying, not to mention the anime does not cover the whole manga. it is really a good read.
Reply:well assuming your name is about bleach (kurosaki ichigo) then i doubt you would like fruits basket its a girls manga about this girl that is lives with a classmate of hers when this classmate is hugged by someone of the opposite sex he transforms into a cat!

Reply:I really like it, it%26#039;s one of my favorites. It really depends on you to decide if you like it, some guys like it too. It%26#039;s a comedy/romance/slice of life/drama anime. It%26#039;s 26 episodes long and based on a manga of the same title. I think it%26#039;s worth giving it a try, it%26#039;s only 26 episodes. If you like the anime, you can read the manga since the anime doesn%26#039;t finish. The manga is finished at 23 volumes and 136 chapters.
