In Fruit Basket, Mammaige? A guy or a girl?

Is Mammage a guy or a girl? They mentioned him as a boy, but he dresses and acts like a girl, and looks like one. Is he really a girl later on in disguised like Haruhi from Auron Host Club?

He is a boy but his voice is by a woman. He is confusing because he wears clothes like a girl I know. He is not gender confused though, he just feels %26quot;comprable%26quot; wearing them and I know somewhere in the manga or anime they menchone it. If he was a girl, Tohru wouldn%26#039;t be able to make him transform when they embrace.


I don%26#039;t know how far you are into the series but they actually do in fact have a relitive who likes to dress like an actual woman but gets offended and upset when they call him a girl. He is the son of the lady who works at the Hot springs.


The story I know is messed up but it%26#039;s still very good.

The reason he wears girl clothes is because he feels that he looks better in them


So no not like Haruhi from Ouran Host Club (I love that anime too!)


He also has a female voice actress so that probably adds to the confusion


But Momiji is definetly a boy!


Another way you can tell is that whenever Tohru hugs him he transforms into a bunny(So kawaii!) and they only transform when hugged by someone of the opposite gender or they%26#039;re under a great amount of stress
